Wow. its only a week old starting at 1 mile? and youre already complaining about the performance? please tell me you broke it in gently. not just got on it hard from the begining, youre not supposed to rev it over like 4000 rpm or throttle hard for about 500-1000 miles. this could be the problem. if you break it in hard then you could lose some power from that.

car companies have these guidelines set up for breaking in a brand new car, they are all a little different, but the main idea is that you dont go over 50-60mph, you dont maintain one speed for more than a couple minutes, then you vary it slightly, and you dont accelerate hard or over about 4-5000 rpm. not to say thats your problem, but ive seen cars that were broke in perfectly put down more power than average, and a few cars that were abused in the break-in period that ran noticably slower than average.

well im almost at 600 miles now, i hope i havent seriously hurt my car, cuz if anything driving lately i havent noticed any negative changes in my cars speed and performance, if anything it seems to push a lil harder then it did the first 200-300 miles. Well anyways, i will continue to take it easy on my baby. I just gave it its first wash minutes ago and waxed that hunny so its lookin cleaner than ever right now. I really wanna get my windows tinted as dark as possible while being legal, so if anyone has suggestions on tinting plz let me know. Imma actually just throw up a post in the appearances section real quick. thanx.

It really isn't that easy to hurt a Honda. My friend drive a 1989 Civic hatch with over 200,000 miles and still running strong. Even though he rev his engine to the at high rpm and sumtimes even at the redline it doesn't even hurt it. His engine has been through a lot of abuse but hasnt given up yet. So, duffycivic don't be afraid that u hurt ur civic, cuz itz not that easy to hurt a Honda.
