I just installed an OBX intake manifold and now when I start my car it revs up to about 6,000 RPM what did I do wrong and what could cause this I need help fast this is my only means of transportation.The throttle body is closed when it is revving so I must have a vacuum leak some were right which would just make it run rough so how is it getting the extra fuel to rev so high?

 

you most likely didnt install all of the vac lines...a large vac leak will cause the motor to rev that high because the intake manifold is seeing an opening, thus revin it up. Check all the hoses and such....its definetly a vac port thats not connected to anything.....oooor did u check the tension in the throttle cable? Make sure the butterfly isnt stuck open against something...should be an easy fix
