Need help, H22 swap for my 95 Civic
Hey i have a 1995 Honda civic, and recently i was looking into swaping out my engine. I was looking at the H22 swap from the Preludes. And they have the most HP for a honda engine, so thats the one i want to go with, is the H22.
I was looking into buying a H22 engine off ebay like this one:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-H...046651963&
but my real question is, is what do i all need still to swap my engine with this H22. I know i need the civic engine mounts. But i was wondering what else do i need.
if you could please leave feedback and help me out it would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

RE: Need help, H22 swap for my 95 Civic
First off, you're taking a risk by buying your motor off ebay.
Anyway, with an h22 swap, there's a lot of little things involved:
You'll need:
-complete motor (all sensors, intake/exhaust manifolds, etc)
-transmission
-shifter and shift cables (the ebay auction never mentioned those I noticed)
-ecu
-either some fuel line (4'-ish) or an accord fuel rail
-h22 motor mounts for an eg chassis
-h22 axles for an eg chassis
You're looking at around $4k (more or less, depending on how much you pay for the motor... but remember you get what you pay for) all said and done...
