need help timeing

Default need help timeing

i have a b18b1 and ive tryed to time it like three times but wen i go to start it all it does is turn doesnt even sound like it wants to start. should i put something in the holes in the cams to get them set. lol need help pics would b nice

Post pictures of the cam and crank positioned at TDC1.

Does the fuel pump prime?

Is there spark at the plugs?

ill post pics. but i jus took out one spark plug put in a straw and turnned the crank to see if the notch was right and it isnt. my piston is all the way down. when i turn it to make the straw go all the way up the notch is faceing the back of my oil pump........yes fuel pump primes.

What cylinder did you test with the straw?

Do you have spark at all 4 plugs?

how do i put a pic in this thread lol. i put in spark plug #1 the one closest to the cams. the rest are still in.

one is the cams and the other is the mark for the pully at tdc. let me kno if i took them wrong.

The engine is definitely out of time.

Do you have aftermarket cam gears?

Are you missing the back cover?

yes i do have aftermarket cams.i jus dont kno what mark on them is TOP. set at 2+/- degrees on both.and no i dont have the back plactic. i bought the engine not to long ago. so i dont kno much about it and or what they had it tuned for. i had to do the TOB and timing. where can i fin those pin punches that would help out alot.
