Ok thanks, i was getting confused when someone was talking about cam lobes and other stuff. So how much would it cost to replace them?

Just in case you are still confused, read this article - http://auto.howstuffworks.com/camshaft.htm

Unfortunately, VTEC is a bit more complex than that. Nice basics though.

What exactly do you mean by "replace them?"

just to clarify, most people use cam as short for camshaft, especially when refering to replacing them. so saying your replacing the camS in your sohc would sound stupid to most people. but prices vary by brand. a good one to look at is skunk2 @ www.skunk2.com

Cam = Camshaft OR Cam Lobe depending on context
Camshaft = the long bar with all the little bumpy things on it (lobes)
Cam Lobe = little bump thingy (lobe) on the camshaft
SOHC = Single Overhead Cam = 1 cam (camshaft)
DOHC = Dual Overhead Cams = 2 cams (camshafts)
When replacing a cam, cam = camshaft.

Just thought I'd clear things up.

Some other companies to look in to:

Competition Cams
Crower
Ferrea
Skunk2
Toda Racing

I personally have not bought cams from these companies, but i have heard positive feedback on all of them. But, MAKE SURE you get the right cam for your car. For example, Crower offers Stages 1-4 cams. You would not want to put a stage 4 cam on your stock civic.
