NEw engine

Default NEw engine

Ok I have a 1998 Civic with 167,000 miles and i need a new engine with Performance possibilities like a 2 liter DOHC engine I am going turbocharge it so what type should i get?

I second the B18C, but you might want to look into a B16A2, its cheaper, and has a lower compression rate, so its a little bit better for boosting.

I have a feeling a lot of people will agree on the B18C though.

Actually, the B16A2 has a higher CR than the C1 (10.1:1 compared to 10.4:1). The JDM version of the C1 does have a higher (10.6:1) CR, but still, the fact that it packs the extra .2L of displacement makes it a better boost platform overall.

Plus, a C1 with a B16 head will put you down to 9.8:1 (USDM) or about 10.4:1 (JDM).
