New User.. Need Help On Swap Option
I am buying a 96 or a 98 civic this weekend and I plan to swap out the motor with ?????
I plan on running a turbo and nitrous.I want to be able to run in the 15psi area, and want to swap with something to get a lot of power. What would my best options be??
Thanks, Taylor.

No my friend bought a k20 and put 10 grand into and he is heving problems with it. i dont know about nitrous but a good motor to boost would be the b18c1(gsr).and people have told me that the b20 with the b16 head is a really good motor to boost

b16a2 or a b18c5
you are going to get different answers, but one is cheaper than another along with the specs on them as well. i heard the ls vtec motor is easy to boost if it is built right.

I wish i can say moneys not a problem ... just messing with u ... but i have a 98ex and i`m doing to put in a. B16a2 with a Greddy GSR kit and i will still keep my a/c. I live in new orleans so losing a/c is not a question and i would like to drive it on the street at times.

You could try a H22, but H22s raise concerns over weight and balance (they're heavy motors) in Civics. That's all just speculation from what I've seen though. I've never actually seen such claims confirmed or denied.
A GSR (B18C1) would definitely be your most versatile choice. Weight is not a concern, and you can pick your powerband anywhere from 250-700whp (even as high as 800-900), depending on how much you want to put into it. It's reliable too, pending build, tune, and maintenance.
