so i just bought a 95 civic hatch and the head was blown, but i had another motor from the guy, the swap is all donw everything is connected but when i try and start the car it barely turns over, and when it finaly tries, it sounds like the motor is about to blow up, and i have flames coming out of my intake box, not the intake manifold or anything, but where the airfilter sits, and the motor smokes, nothing comes out the exhaust, and i keep smellin gas , i have no idea what else to check, i have checked the timing, the sparks,

Did you check the valves, fireing order....

 

Check your timing again.

 

You probably have the spark plug wires on the wrong places, or the timing belt badly mistimed.
