Notching the block?

Notching the block?
i bought some eagle H beam rods for my D16Z6 its a turbo build and i put all the bottom end in rolled the motor of and the rods hit.i heard that the block needed to be notched when u put these rods in. but i guess what my question is how much does the block need to be notched in order for these rods to work so i can tell the guy that will machine it for me.
