Notching hub to remove studs- pls help
Hi,
I read in an earlier post that instead of having to have a machinist press out the wheel bearing, etc... in order to remove a broken/screwed up wheel stud you could "notch the hub" somehow & then put the new stud in. Can anyone explain how this is done & maybe have a couple pictures that might show this?? I've got a '93 EX 2/door. Thanks.

Hey, yeah, you just grind down the front so that you can slip the new stud in. You still have to grind the stud down almost flat on one side too. Super cheap solution, as those studs are only like $0.99. I have to change one out this weekend before AutoX. If you can wait until then I can take some pics for you.
