Default Novice needs some repair help.

Hope this is the right section...I dont know much about repair and pricing so hopefully you guys can help me out. I have a 99 Civic HX, bought it in 2004 with 36k on it and the only thing service wise I have done is oil and air filter change. So I did miss a few scheduled maintenance occasions. Today I got the tansmision serviced, changed fluid etc. The repair shop also gave me a list of things that need fixing.

Timing Belt with Front Seals: $465.00
75-K Service with Coolant Change: $240.00
Broken Left Motor Mount: $151.00 ($112.00 if doing with T Belt)
Both Power Steering Bellows Torn: $210.00
Rear Trailing Arm Bushing Broken: $388.00

I live is Arizona btw. Are these prices competetiive or should I look elsewhere? Thanks.

Sounds about right. Actually that's a good price for the timing belt. That list is the main reason people learn to do their own wrenchin'. You can do it. Go get yourself arepair manual and search around on here. Everybody would be more than willing to help any way they can.

cool thanks. I'll look into it but tbh i probably wont be doing the repairs myself at this point. The place only deals with honda and acura so im glad you think the prices are good.

Con't know much about fair charges for the repairs, cuz i do all my own repair.

But .. ouch .!! Costly for few repairs. you can do some of the maintenances your self and save some $$. You should do the 75kyourself .. don't required much of technical know how. But if you have time and willing to put in some elbow grease, it all can be done.. Don't know why you getting charge for the motor mount, they have to disconnectmount for the T/B anywayz, and it cost about $40...

I think thats why they discounted the mount if I did T/B at same time, again, I'm very clueless about this stuff. Talk to me about computers and I'm God, but cars, I'm uber noob.
one more thing I wanted to ask, if I did go with the shop, I only have about $600.00 to spare on repairs..so what would be most urgent from that list to fix right now?

Here's the order I would get them done in.

Broken Motor Mount...Regardless if you do the timing belt with it or not
Rear Trailing Arm Bushing
75,000 Mile Service.....And make sure that is a COOLANT FLUSH. Notjust a Coolant Change
Timing Belt with Front Seals. Make sure that includes a water pump their already going to be in there
Both Power Steering Bellows

You only have 36,000 miles on your car which is why a t/b and w/p are far down on my list. P/S bellows aren't going to cause a leak they just look unsightly.
