Default Question on a swap

I have a Honda SI 1.6 Vtec that Im thinking about getting off my buddy. Its already in a 1995 Ex and I will have to take it out of his car (Ex) and put itinto my 1995 Dx 1.5 non-Vtec. What all is needed in order to get this to work correctly? Also, what's a good estimate on what it may cost me to have it put in?

Another thing. What would be the difference in just doing the head swap compared to the whole motor swap? Will there be a big difference power wise or no?

Thanks for the input guys!

Tim-

Surely someone has to know! If I do the Mini me vs. the whole motor swap will it still perform the same? I wanting to go the route of just the Mini me head switchingcause its easier and cheaper but want to know if the performance is still the same going that route vs. going the route of swapping out and going with the whole SI vtec motor.?.?
Anyone?????

technically, I believe you'll get more power out of a mini-me swap if both engines are the same size (since with mini-me swaps, you have slightly higher compression). But since you have a 1.5l, I'd say just swap in the z6.

I would swap for the d16 because, if you plan on doing aftermaket parts later. There's next to none for aftermarket parts for the d15b7 except for the jdm d15; which is identical to the d16.
