Default RE: B16A head & which B20 bottom end?

Hi everyone, I recently bought a Civic EG SIR-II from Japan. It's running a B16A with standard internals. It also came with some goodies such as a Spoon ECU &Spoon Ignition Leads. I want to add a B20 CRVbottom end to the existing B16A head. Will this work? And also which one?And will the Spoon ECU be able to run the B20 bottom end efficiently?

The B20B or B20Z will be fine, but I'd just stick with the B16A if I were you. You've got about 168HP. You could get more out of a B20B/Z, but why bother? You could get more out of the B16A too if you build it up, but at least there is not the initial expense of buying the engine. If you do get rid of the B16A, let me know. I will tell you where you can ship it.

Hmmm... good point.
What advantages and disadvantages would i get from the installation of the B20B/Z Bottom end?
What's the difference between the two B20's anyways?
Thanks guys... You're so helpful.

Just throw a turbo on your B16. B20/LS vtec motors are usually unreliable unless they are built and tuned well. Just throwing a stock B20 bottom end on there is going to be great for awhile but will eventually break because they dont like high RPM. If you are stuck on B20/LS vtec, then go with an LS bottom end. Do some more research on LS/B20 vtec swaps and you will see why.
