Why do you feel it's not good to switch from dyno to syn? As long as your car has been maintained, it won't matter at all. Most people see issues when the syn oil cleans the old sludge and **** out, but it shouldn't matter if you have taken care of your vehicle. There are lots of people out there who say it causes leaks, but these statements are un-merited. The leaks were already there, but the syn oil cleans up all of the gunk that filled in the leaky areas. Switching to syn would be no different than running a dyno oil with a cleaner agent in it or running seafoam in your crankcase.

it's not good to switch from conventional to synthetic just all of a sudden, just keep it with conventional. and about the octane booster, just throw it away, it's not good for the fuel system.

definitely a noob question...can I just switch to synthetic whenever i get my oil changed which is in the next couple weeks? Also any suggestions for octane boosters, my dad gave me some of his 0-60 idk if I'm supposed to notice any difference and would it do anything if I'm putting supreme in my car already?

that's just a matter of opinion, you can run 10w30 or 5w30, both get the job done all year long. the weight determines the viscosity and the temperature it needs to reach before it's optimal performance. do you get very cold winters?
if it's very cold, you can run some 10w40, if it's normal, you can just run normal 10w30. the colder the weather is, the thicker the oil is, so you would want a thinner oil to compensate. but in the end, it's just a matter of preference.
