RE: SAWP OR NO SWAP?
iight to be more specific here are some of the choices of swap you can do to the 96 civic.
B18C5 (Type-R),B18C1,B16A2,B18B1
Bolt-in swap
Requires 99-00 Civic Si Rear mount
Requires wiring harness modifications.
B17A
Requires hyraulic transmission or HASport cable clutch conversion Kit
Requires 99-00 Civic Si Rear mount
Requires wiring harness modifications
OBD-1 ECU adaptor needed
B16B (Civic-R)
Bolt-in swap
Requires wiring harness modifications for LHD cars
note that if civic is not v-tec you may need a v-tec controller like an apexi controller or wire the v-tec to a switch of some sort. also b-series trannys are needed with the motor and axles and ecu's maybe wire harnesses.
the swaps can run from $2,000-$6,000 it all depends where you get it from and who you get it done by.
