Default SI HEADS

I was wondering of i could put an SI head on a DX hatch block please give me some info im a first time tuner and i just got a 1990 civic hatch DX model

Do you mean the dual cam head? If you do then no you can't, but you can put a single cam vtec head on your non vtec block and pick up 20-25Hp. It's called a mini-me. Thee is a write-up on it in the DIY section and a ton of info elsewhere.

Unfortunately, when dealing with an EF block, it's not exactly the same as an EG/EK mini-me. An EF SI (D16A6) head swap is no problem though, and either way, it will require a DPFI->MPFI conversion (also in the DIY section).
