STRIPPING Head Bolts........
i have built a ls/vtec with ARP head studs and still having problem with head bolts stripping!!!!!! GRRRR....
what causes this and what can be done to prevent this from happening? i dont understand, this is my 6th ls/vtec i have built but only second that i have had problems with stripping head bolts!!! i bought the ARP studs to HELP prevent this from happening, but.......seems to be more of a problem than a solution. please help/inquire

ive stripped one head stud and it was a stock one and i had to have it taken to a vertical mill and have the head of the bolt machined off and it takes a long time to do right.
but as for that are u putting the assembly lube on there that arp supplies? and are u torquing the head down to the right specs in the right order?
theres steps to do it right.. you dont jus torque the head down to X lb/feet right off the bat.. you do 1/4 of the total number and then do all of them that way.. then you go in and do 1/2 of the total number and wait 5min so it can settle right and get used to that number then you go and do the rest of the way in the 3rd step.
