Okay,
Here's the deal.
The guy who I got the car from informed me of the CR change.
There is a turbo setup currently in the car but I am taking it out because I am on budget right now.....Meaning.......wifey and I just got our house and I don't have the "disposable" funds to get me a vafc and a wideband and all the other goodies that I want, ANNNNNND on top of that the A/C Fan and belt are sitting in the trunk while imma be sweating...so I'm also taking the turbo out to put that back in.
Anywhoooo.....the head was shaved just a tad to bring the CR down.
I am not really concerned about performance at the moment. I've had enough experience on the fast car scene now it's time to slow down for a minute. The car is a good looker so I might just fix her up as a show car. Do some Fiberglass work on the interior etc etc.
My wife and I are using one car and it's really becoming annoying now that we live on the eastern end of the island and she works in the west and I work in the heart of town, so it's alot of back and forth.....and I forgot I have to drop my son to school too and then do the same in reverse every evening.
I'm thinking on keeping the turbo setup for when I get the spare change to spend.

He didn't change anything. He bought the car with all of those mods on it. Which had me confused regarding the way he phrased the "9:1 CR, was 9.6:1", making it seem like he made a change to the current set up he bought.

Nah, I, personally, did not change anything but the CR was changed at some point by the previous owner.
