There's no way to know what 7-9 psi could do without knowingwhich turbo you are using. Psi means different things on different turbos. The amount of horsepower you put out is the important thing. Also, what engine do you have in your car? That can make a difference too.

not to be an a** or anything, but if you need to know how to mount your intercooler, you probably shouldn't be trying to boost yet.

But for the ecu, you could do an obdI conversion and get a p28 (d16z6 engine) ecu, which can be chipped

Yea this is not the project for you buddy.
Not yet at least.
You need to learn about what you are messing with before you start just 'playing around' with it.
GO do some research
And I don't just mean read the forum up and down.
Go get some books, compare products, learn how a turbo works and why it works the way it does!!!!

When does it happen? When you accelerate, brake? High speeds, low, all the time?
Does it happen when the ac is on, off, both? Tell us more.
