Default RE: Timing Issues??!!

Ok misha, just to end any confusion, i REDID the entire timing set up this morning. This time i was super **** about lining up the smaller dimples with the top of the head, got it exactly dead on. Tightened everything down, slipped belt back on, checked dipstick (STILL SMELLS LIKE GAS), and tried to crank it. DID NOT START. If one of the admins wants to shut this post down, go for it, its just not a timing issue.

Engine cold.
Remove the spark Plug from Cylinder number one.
Insert a straight rod until You hit the piston. It can be a long screw driver.
Spin the engine by hand , you will see the rod going up.
When it hits the top, There it is, the Cylinder number one is on top, Now see where your mark is....
