Default Tranny question

Hey guys.
Sometime soon, I'm gonna be getting a GSR swap from my stock civic. What would be better? A ls or gsr tranny? I've been doing alot of looking for answers on alot of websites and I'm getting mixed answers.
And what are the pros and cons of each?

Also, I might instead go with a type r swap. Is it worth the extra $?
I wanna turbo but I heard the type r has trouble with forced injection?

And suggestions? Thanks

It's called Forced Induction.

I have heard a few things about LS trannys being better at the tracks, but GSR trannys being more fun for DDing.

IMO, yes, the ITR tranny is worth. Better final drive, and LSD.

Never heard of forced injection. Care to enlighten me about it, or what you heard about it?

I think what you read OP was just a typo. It's forced induction.

Because of the high compression in the GSR I would assume that's what the person was referring to. An LS engine is better for boost than a GSR.

I always hear that GSR tranny is good for N/A, LS for forced induction (longer gears, stay in boost longer in each gear).

Just making sure, you do know that the usdm GSR trans does not come with LSD, right? Only the usdm ITR trans comes with a factory LSD.
