Hi I am a new member to the forum but have been watching it for a while. I am interested in putting a v-6 auto from a Accord or Odysey or Acura into a 92 or newer Civic Hatch. Just wondered if anybody has done this swap. I have found lots done with a 6 speed and I think that is cool but I want to do some drag racing and think the auto would be more consistant and easier on parts. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

A guy named SPLAT did this on a hatchback. It's doable, a tight fit, and a wiring nightmare.

 

Yes I checked out Splats build but he did it with a 6 speed. I am mostly wondering if there is much difference as far as mounting the auto. I want do do it from one donor vehicle so I woudl have the wiring harness. Also I do not know what year would be best but I was thinking 92-95

 

It probably wouldn't be that much different with an auto.

 

check splats thread again, his buddies del sol has the tiptronic trans with the v6, (auto trans that you can shift manually with no clutch)
