Default Valve cover gasket

does it have to be new each time the cover is removed

do it doesnt, if the gasket is soft then its good, it its hard or stiff a little then its bad.

yeah as long as its not dried up and hard it should be fine

its reccomended but as long as its still in good condition, you should be good. put a little bit of gasket sealer around the edges
