Thanks for all the info, sorry about the late reply but got sidetracked for a while. It sounds like a complete swap would be the way to go. I have been looking around the local junkyard and found a 2000 civic automatic with 16k miles on it The guy said he would take 600 bucks for engine and trans ( auto ) . Should i take everything from engine to wheels, axles and all? they will include the computer for that price, I may have to pay extra for the axles and wheels. Can you just swap the whole thing in one piece?

it prolly wont go as easy as you think there will be a little mod you might or prolly will
have to do. Also to chime in on what those guys said about the head swap. My buddy has the same year but his was an si
hatch. But he did the lil mini me swap what there called and all he has had is problems
with timing and all he has pretty bad iddle hop and sometimes vtec wont kick in. if any of you guys have any
things that i can relay on to him that would prolly help because i want a piece of his *** in the spring and
i dont want any excuses lol for boost breakn his lil neck hahaha. but yea if u could just go with a hole b16 swap if you can thats what my plans were
with my old hatch.

actually it isn't easier to put a z6 head on without converting to obd1. the obd0 distributer only will bolt up to 2 points not three. the obd0 dizzy will bolt on to all three mounting points.

converting to obd 1 is quite easy read up on it at www.boomslang.us
i know this is old but i have to point out that i was saying that a z6 would be better than a y8 because the y8 is OBD2 and the z6 is OBD1

yeah i know what you meant, but if he didn't want to convert to obd1 then the y8 is easier because the distribter will fully mount to all three points instead of just two on the z6

staying obd0 - easier to use a Y8

converting to Obd1 - easier to use a z6
