will timing belt need replaced?

Default will timing belt need replaced?

Hi there folks,im new to this forum so be patient with me lol.im about to buy my first civic and was wondering if the dealer should be changing timing belt before purchase.model isHONDA CIVIC VTEC SE AUTO 1.6 It has 54500mls on the clock and was first reg`d in 2001.hope you can give me some advice.if i can get dealer to pay for replacement instead of me then all the better

They won't do it; check the owners manual, I'm pretty sure it doesn't specify that it has to be done before 90k miles or 7 years.

didnt think so.dont have manual yet so thats why i tried here first just to make sure.thnx for your quick reply
