hey check it out guys remember the d16y7 with the y8 head and manifold well i took it to a mechanic to get it put together the engine was apart so i was wondering since its out of place should i get the engine rebuilt. i know im going for a turbo boost but thats later on and im gonna be going around state in spring break so should i pay for the engine getting rebuilt which is gonna be 650 or just get it built which is 575????[sm=smiley23.gif]

If it was me and I had the engine out of the car and planed to and turbo down the road. then yes rebuild it. Its better to rebuild it know then put the mods on and blow the motor and damage what could have been saved. Cracked head. God forbid any thing happen to your block.

Get it built but supply the parts. Eagle H Beam rods, SRP Pistons, ARP Headstuds.

wow brought back from the dead HAHAHA. almost 2 years ago this guy posted and now people decide to help him out? goodness, just a bit slow there. i haven't even seen him on for a long while.

be sure to replace the oil pump during the rebuild.......some places will use the old one.
