Default y8 head on a z6 block?

my question is ist possable to put a y8 head on a z6 block, cause the engine currently in my car is a z6, but looking at pics online, the head looks like this (ignore the manifold, but look at the lost motion assembly) but if i look at the d16z6 engine i just picked up, the head looks like this(not my head) (if you look at the lost motion assemblys, on the z6 it sticks out, and on the y8 it is almost covered)

is it possable, anf if so, why would some one do it?

yeah it possible, maybe someothin in the z6 head got screwed up and you need to replace it, and all that was available was the y8? From what i heard the z6 and y8 heads are very similar, so you wouldnt get any perfromacne difference from switching teh heads.
