thanks. i'll look into it. as for gas i have switched to premium lately and noticed a difference in the way it runs and when its warming up. i use to hear knocking noises when i started the engine using regular, now with premium its no longer there.

was wondering....is this a good deal for $260???

hey, i have a d16y8 head almost complete, comes with the head, cam, timing belt, alternator belt, vtec valve cover, all the gaskets, the d16y8 tensioner from the block, a Honda dealer metal head gasket!! the valves been adjusted and lubed and the cam is pointed up and timed so you just need to time the bottom end of your block.

If your going N/A I would use a Z6 block with a Y8 head, eagle rods(dont really need to be forged because the D series is not going to make enough power n/a to need all that), now pistons I would go forged and set it at about 10.7 to 11 to 1 compression that way you can get away with pump gas if you run it easy most of the time and throw in some octane booster to dog on it a lil or race gas to track it.

Also the power maker for a n/a honda I4 is ITB's. A full tune and all this would make a damn "snappy" engine and a blast to drive. Also do not neglect you clutch and headwork, they are both ver very important. The headwork and cam selections are the single most important parts of a n/a build.

yea i'm looking into the headwork now, thinking of going with skunk2 stage 1 cam, skunk2 adj camgears, skunk2 manny/tb and aem fuel rail. what size injectors should i go with? oh and a light weight pulley kit but not sure what brand yet. as far as the clutch, its an automatic, but i'll be keeping a close eye on the tranny and stuff. what would be a good size for a head gasket as well? i want nice CR but not too high.
