For our 7th gens the biggest we can really get is the k series like a k20 or k24... the k20 has the hp but the 24 has the tq... if you get the k20 you can turbo it and you're looking at a fast car, like 12 second fast maybe faster.

Ok this might be an incredibly stupid question, but where are the best places to get the k20? especially the k20a2

if u turbo it u'll save a ton of money...a k20 would be the step up for a 02 but be prepared to spend 15 g's...as far as the tran, unless it is screwed up the ex trans its the quicker of the two types, the lx...well the thrird is'nt as tall................to save money on that shifter when i first had my 01 back in 11/2000 i cut the shifter down and worked just fine but had to get a cheap *** from autzone with screws in the side. if you where to just cut it like i've done to all my rides do it just below the threads. it save time and $$

15g's? I have an offer to do the whole thing (block and tranny) for 7grand... I guess it is all about where you live. The turbo is like another 2500 bucks for a good kit and good install will add on a little more... 15g on a 7th gen civic and you'll be flying into outerspace.
