I installed the same speakers in my Civic, SPR-17c. They are not "direct fit" like the entire internet says. I had to cut the panels a bit and use those black rings from the package.

Installed new wiper vent cowl with all new Ebay'd clips. Even the new cowl doesn't sit perfectly flush on the windshield, which was the whole reason I bought one at a yard in the first place.

Sanded/spray bombed my wiper arms.

I recently installed SPS-17's; trimming was needed, I didn't use the adaptor rings however, just piloted new holes. You may get moisture on the back of your speakers, I did, and the plastic moisture barrier in the door doesn't protect the speakers.

I installed foam baffles behind the speakers, keeps them dry, but sound suffered a bit. I'll be cutting a hole in the bottom so they can draw more air and see if that helps the sound.
