"what have you done to your civic today?"
Past two weekends: finished up the clutch swap - my little stock VX actually laid two 3-foot patches in the driveway - woot! Also (since I was already in there), new oil pan gasket and a new rear main seal. I screwed up and essentially took the start motor apart during pulling the tranny, so I got a new starter motor.
Yesterday: adjusted the valves (no more miniature diesel sound), and installed my Si center console [finally - after ONLY 18 months].
Today: drove it. Gotta get used to having an actual clutch again. Mine was flat worn out... I have no idea how it lasted this long. The disc was paper-thin, the rivets had worn a 2mm-deep groove in the pressure plate (which looked more like a wore-out brake rotor), and the flywheel looked like chrome it was so well polished.

eh, not really the reason for the no sig, but yes, no civic right now. I deleted all of my pictures and online traces as I could of my car before it was stolen, guess it didn't help, lol. Plus my internet here sucks, so i disabled all sig's and avatars so the pages load quicker.
Did a new OEM Honda cap and rotor. The old ones had 163k on them and needed to be replaced, lots of carbon build up. I did the plugs a few weeks ago. That little D16y5 runs so much smoother now. Got an MSD 6A box for my turbo build and ordered an O2 extenion for my header install. Found out I need to replace most of the bushings so I will be getting a Energy Suspention bushing kit soon to.
Today I gave more thought to my suspention build. What shocks and what coilovers to go with for a low price?? And still trying to find out if the 92-95 Ex 4 door rear sway bar will fit the 96-00 for a cheap upgrade.

Today, I confirmed my fears... my Civic has actually been in 4 accidents. I checked the driver's side quarter panel inside and out. The very back of it around the tail light is packed with Bondo, as is the quarter panel extension under the tail light. Whoop ti friggin do. I'm starting to rethink the project. Maybe I should find a cleaner platform to work from.
