"what have you done to your civic today?"
I just finished painting most of my trim pieces cobalt blue! I also realized that the previous owner of my ride never used any sort of armor-all stuff for the vinyl so I did a bit of restorative cleaning
lol guy, relax. It's your car, of course you can do what you want. Its just that OEM black interiors are becoming harder and harder to find, and thus are more valuable to those who seek them.
yep. but as long as he didnt sand the parts he can always just bust out the brake fluid and soak the paint off
at least ive heard that works great for painted plastics. havent tried it yet since thats not my thing anymore.
plus i always suggest that you get spare parts to paint if you like that look. that way you can always put the car back stock if you decide to sell it since most people hate painted interiors.

I'm just messing around. It's hard to impersonate a bratty kid from maury via the written word lol.
I didn't sand a thing so if need be I guess I could attempt to strip the paint. Though it is lacquer paint and I know the best way to strip that would also melt the plastic....however! I don't ever plan on selling this ride.

well if you ever plan on removing the paint then try brake fluid. ive heard its the safest.
or try some plastic bumper paint stripper. but im not sure how it would act on the interior pieces dye color... you can always pull out a small vent and try it before you try any larger piece.
just a option for ya once it starts to chip and flake off... it will happen in time. been there done that and regret doing it.
but o ya back on topic. put on my spray painted bumper cover on my car that i painted yesterday. looks better
