Pulled the intake Air Charge Temp sensor (left it plugged in) and replaced the old one in its place (to plug the hole).

Ever since I replaced this sensor, the engine seems to run like a champ when it's cold - but as the heat comes up, it surges when the throttle is in the 'sweet spot' between accelerating and decelerating while cruising and even more noteably when the 'upshift' light comes on. I'm going to try a couple of things in attempt to fool the ECU. I'm going to leave the sensor out in the engine compartment and see if the symptoms persist, because I believe the intake temp is coming up slightly because of the metal absorbing heat from the engine. If nothing changes, then I'll wrap some electrical tape around it (to hopefully drop the sensitivity) and note results. Then I'll try it reinstalled with the tape wrap in-place and see if that helps.

Of course, if nothing changes, then I'll be trying other stuff. The whole reason I'm blaming this sensor is because it's the last one replaced that turned off the CEL, and was the last thing done before the problems began.

I dripped ice cream all over the front seats and got to clean it up justa few hours ago.

I had to drive all the way home driving a stick, with a huge melting ice cream cone in my steering wheel hand, and a cup of water in my shifter hand. It SUCKED. But the front seat is clean again. So its all good.

Discovered evidence in the driveway from what looks to be a good sized oil leak. I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend.
