I know the mileage last year on 07 civics were 30 city/ 40 hwy, why the change ?

i am still on the first tank. i was just wondering what it was for 08 owners in general.. i am at 225 miles with about 10 bars/dots left....

 

It went down like 5 mpg i think. Im guessing its the added weight to make the car more safer

 

The EPA changed the ratings to more reflect real world mileage. They also changed the ratings on all other cars for all years. Here is a link to the new/old ratings: http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/ratings2008.shtml

 

Thats cool i didnt know that. Well it was almost impossible to get 40 mpg anyway lol

 

thanks GENE J that is a interesting site, added it to my favorites. I just filled up for first time and averaged 36.5 . 350 miles on 9.57 gallons of fuel. I can't wait to show this to my know it all brother in law who says he gets better in his 07 cobalt.......yea right
