I just recently shot a rod so im droping my old motor and tranny as we speak... Im been looking around for new motors online and I just wanted to know which motor out the H or B series is best... My plans are to fully build the motor

I have been leaning towards the B18c5 would this be a wise choice or is there anything better?

 

how the **** did you throw a rod lol. dude get a h22 that would be so sick but it would also be a tricky installment. how bout you just a a b20 block and slap a GSR head on there and bam you got it.

 

You can't just "slap" together an ls/vtec.

 

I didnt throw a rod... I streched it and it hit the bottom of what holds the oil sumpthen knocked a holeout the cylinder and then a piece busted out threw the front of the block... but im buying a whole motor with tranny offline and i wanted to know what would be best to buy for hp and what could take more stress cause i drive hard and this is gonna be a daily driven car... i wanted to go with a h22 but i heard the gsr's are much better...

 

I say if it's in your budget, go for the ITR swap. That's what I'm saving for as we speak!

 

i don't recommend an itr for a usdm civic, but a ctr (b18c5)

 

CTR came with B18b not the B18c5, the B18c5 IS the ITR motor
