Which 2 door civic is the lightest?
well the Civic's having only gotten bigger and bigger generation to generation, so i'd prolly say a 5th gen hatch would be pretty light....6th gen is pretty good too, and all are easily moddable.
well hatchback is the lighest. but since you want coupe here you go.
i think that would be the 5th gen (92-95) DX coupe, or 6th gen. You should go with 5th gen for modding as it has OBD1. 6th generation has OBD2 and will throw codes at you more when you mod certain things.
That is the lighest because it is the base model (no power windows or locks, no cruise control, no anti-lock brakes, non-vtec engine (D15B7 - 102hp).
Really, for modding you should get the EX. It doesn't way that much more, but you get a better engine with vtec (d16z6 - 125hp). It's a much better engine if you plan on modding, and the EX weighs more because it has all the features. But that extra 100lbs or so is worth it in the end due to the: better engine (VTEC) and the anti lock brakes.
So to sum it up, i think you should get a 92-95 EX coupe.
