also another opinion ...yes that blue interior is whack at least make it red to match rims
why sell your car i'd keep it you can always upgrade your engine. you know more about your car than any other car you are going to buy. you take a chance on getting the short end of the stick. ive worked for a dealer selling used cars before. they rig alot of them just so they will sell. i know alot of tricks to quick fix stuff that i used to do.
(not saying all dealers are like that)look at interiants*(hcf's well feed hobo) think thats how you spell it .
for an example i read through his posts and he noticed(after buying it) that it had been wrecked 4 times. but hey its my opinion do what ya wanna do we only live once.
trial and error is the only way to truly learn.

Like I said to enigma before, H2B swap with GSR transmission, LS final drive, ITBs, Stage 3 cams, full valvetrain, Hi-comp pistons, modified-to-fit Bisimoto F22a header, high-flow cat and full cat-back or GTFO.

And we give enigma s**t on his HX because he acts like it's fast. It's a bolt-on HX with the stock transmission; it's not going anywhere in a hurry.

Oh, and I trust that 115whp calculation was on a freshly calibrated dyno that was getting a good rpm reading and the calculation was altitude-corrected; do I assume correctly? Because dynomometers do require recalibrations, and most shops like to let their machines read higher than actual. Also, if it was a Mustang Dyno I can promise the number is higher than it should be.

*ninja edit: the EX transmission is just fine for boost. You spend plenty of time in the gears, and there's no reason to go 140+mph, so why would you need longer gears?

thats like saying why rev beyond 6k every little bit helps.
longer gears are great to have ( If ) you have the power. you lose alot of time when you have to shift. have you ever seen drag cars they mostly have 3 speeds.

How the f**k is that like saying rev beyond 6k? I'd love to hear the explanation.

And could you explain something to me? If long gears are the ultimate thing for powerful cars, why are these the gear ratios for the Lamborghini Murcielago?

1st - 2.94:1
2nd - 2.06:1
3rd - 1.52:1
4th - 1.18:1
5th - 1.03:1
6th - 0.91:1
final - 2.53:1

While the final drive is a bit low, it's still not much lower than other production cars; the '94-'98 v6 mustangs had a 2.73:1 final drive. And either way you look at it, the Murcielago still carries a very close-ratio 6-speed. So are you implying you know more about gearboxes for high-horsepower applications than the engineers behind the 580bhp Murcielago, a car capable of 205mph in stock form?

I understand you defending your car, but face it. The EX transmission is perfectly fine for boosted cars; or can you come up with another reason nobody with an EX swaps their transmission out for an HX unit?

wait wait wait... so because he presented a better ARGUMENT he needs to go cool off somewhere? this kind of argument isnt like an argument over religion... there are cold hard facts in play here where someone is obviously right and someone is obviously wrong, this is not opinion based in any way whatsoever

And I didn't even start my argument on the drag racing transmission argument

94civic, would you like me to continue my arguments? I have plenty more facts. If you'd like, I can bring up the HX's gear ratios compared to the EX's gear ratios. Actually, should you wish to continue your weak argument, I could run the numbers and give you top speeds in each gear for both the HX and EX transmissions using a common tire size and rev limit.

Or, you know... you could just admit the HX's only uses are fuel economy and top-speed runs where its slightly lower 5th gear (.702:1) and final drive (3.722:1) would be of any use whatsoever.

i didnt read all tses post. but anotherthing i like about the del sol is rear disc brake. And im not selling it becuase its a HX. I was selling it becuase i realy want a hatch and i dont want to do a swap in a car i dont realy want. But after looking at that del sol, thats what im going to get if my car sells.

And about knowing my car, the del sol has a d16 so its (like) the same motor just better . Are all del sol's, Si?

What should i look at when looking at one? i know some of you here have Sol's.
