I fully reclined the driver seat the other day. Now when I try to recline it back to normal driving position it refuses to lock into position. I can see the recliner lever is stuck. What do I do to fix it. Do I have to take the seat out or is there a easier remedy? Thanks.

 

thats odd... if it just poped and wont lock back its probably a spring that poped off or needs alittle grease on the pivot point.
only problem i had was the seat track itself not locking.

 

I think when I laid back, I pushed the seat too much and that must have de-linked the springs. This weekend I have to take the seat out and check the spring. Thanks.

 

Removed the side covering. The spring looks ok. The lever is still stuck and I can't figure out why it is. The gears seem to be worn out a little. I took it to the mechanic he says I need a new seat. I have to start looking at junk yards.

 

where you located? i have the seats from my 96 dx... not sure if they are the same or not.
i know there different than 99-00 civics.
if your around indiana ill sell ya mine for 30bucks for both drivers and passenger. just a slight seam tear on the drivers seat, but could just be glued together easy enough.
