When the headlights are turned on, I notice that all the details of the audio system are illuminated. However, the EJECT and LOAD buttons for the CD player only remain lit for a few seconds, then they fade out and are not visible. Also, the left corner of the CD slot also remains lit for a few seconds, whereas the right corner remains lit. Also, the illumination of the SCAN button fades a little too. The SCAN letters: S & C are not as brighly lit as the A & N letters.

Is this normal?

 

is it a factory stereo?

If so, its normal, they aren't constructed with the best of intentions, as most people upgrade anyway. Alot of factory stereos lighting fades now and again. I have seen several of them.

 

Last night, I noticed that the Eject button lit and faded out , then lit and faded out again. It did this about 3 times, then it stayed on. Strange....
