any idea if the wiring for solinoids is in the loom I have a 97 bog standard civic LX and want to get keyless entry.
I have no idea if it already has the hardware or the wiring but dont mind a bit of diy work to get the hardware installed but electrics frighten the crap out of me in general.
any pointers, good kits or a direction to start a simple project like this would very helpfull

 

My 97 dx didnt have the wiring, or room in the loom for that matter. And no hardware either.

I tried to mount an actuator several different times in about 6 locations without luck last week. It's gonna be a job alone just to get the wiring through the doors. It looked like the easiest way to do it would be to totaly remove the door and drill you 2 new holes, insert some new loom so you could run whatever you wanted.
