Here's some precise data for ya...

Have a little over 1,600 miles on my 2006 Civic sedan, LX with auto.

Filled up this Sunday, and logged the following:
Went 356.2 miles, and put in 12.003 gallons of gas, which equals 29.67 MPG.

That's for "city" type driving, with some country-type back roads involved.

BTW, the "low fuel" light was on, and I went maybe 10 miles with it on--and there were no gas guage "bars" lit up at all. It took 12 gallons, which means that with a 13.2 gallon gas tank, I had over a gallon (or ~30 miles) left in the tank. So with my car at least, I can "push it" a little when the low fuel light comes on--not that I like to test my luck that way. :-)

Regards,

Alrighty...I just turned 3400 miles on my Si and had my first oil change. I've reset my trip every time I fill up and have been averaging 240-250 miles on 11 gallons of gas. I drive the car pretty hard and is almost all city driving. The last 2 tanks of gas I got around 265-280. So I think the mileage is getting better now that she's a little more broken in. I'll post after my next tank since the oil change to see if it made a difference.

So if we take 270 ("265-280") as a number for your Si, and divide by 11 (gal.) we get 24.5 MPG, which sounds about right for your 2.0L engine. :-)

I will have had my car 5 weeks this Monday. '06 EX sedan

I currently have 28xx miles on it and I average between 34~36mpg every time I fill it up. From the first 350 mile tank to the most recent fill-up. (I love filling up on 25 bucks) I get around 340 miles per tank. My last trip said 344 I believe, and I could have driven a bit more My low fuel light had just came on.
I drive an hour round trip to work daily on the interstate with my cruise set at 79. Along with the country driving on the weekends.
