A/C on new Civics a bit odd?
I tend to take Yahoo reviews with little seriousness, but this caught my eye. On the 2007 Honda Civic', I saw complaints about the A/C being cold during driving but than it stops blowing cold air when you're not moving. I've never heard my best friend mention this on her 06 and I have a 2008.
Basically, does the Civic really blow warm air when you stop at a light during the summer? That would be one of the worst ideas I've ever seen. And according to the reviews, the dealership said it's normal and meant to happen. WTF?

I have an '08 Si and never noticed this. But I got the car in fall of '07 so I don't think I used it much. I do notice on most cars that the A/C is not as cold during a stop, the compressor is not spinning as fast without the engine revving.

Not sure on this exact problem, but I notice if you start a car up from freezing, and put on the hot fan, you can sit there for 10 minutes idling without any hot air, but if you drive down the road, within 3 minutes it will be blasting out.
My conclusion is the engine must be actually working, rather than just idling. A connection perhaps?

The faster you're going the faster the compressor pumps, and (more importantly) the more air is traveling into the front of the car to cool the refrigerant. Most car's A/C gets warmer at a stop, though, so no worries even if it does a little.
