why is it that you have to unhook the battery when installing a cai and is there anything else cooled by the intake in a 02 civ coupe i know alot of older cars maybe not civic but the computer fins where in the air intake to help cool the computer thanx

 

i think it is more so one of those better safe then sorry things, i didn't disconnect the battery on my 93 hatch when install my SRI but the directions said to do so, nothing went worng with it either.
