i know this is a noob question, but i thouht i understood this lately i've seen what i thought were EKs called EJs by knowledgable people, and also some new ones i've never heard of...EP?
so can someone please explain exactly the difference between ej, ef, ek, ep, etc.?

generation/body styles by VIN codes
for instance
EP = 7th generation hatchback/Si
EF = 4th gen JDM Civics/CRX (USDM = ED)
EK = JDM 6th gens
EJ = your car/USDM 6th gen civics
EM1 = 6th gen Si
EM2 = 7th gen EX
