Cant stop revving my SI

Cant stop revving my SI
How much additional stress does the vtec portion of the rpm band vs the low rpm cam. I just cant seem to shift at the (Standard Driving Shiftpoints) its pretty much about 4000 rpm. I own a new si and a del sol vtec w/b16. The new si does rev quite easily, it seems so eager to rev. I rev to the 5000 range at least. No redlining and no cold start heroics.Usually half throttle sends the si pulling easily away from traffic. How much extra wear does this cause? What is a more practical vtec point for my new k series(6100 seems a bit conservative) Im dying for a hondata upgrade.(hurry up)

RE: Cant stop revving my SI
The K20 loves its revs. It won't harm anything. Revvvvvvv away.
Oh and as for the vtec crossover, there's three stages, and it's iVTEC so I think the crossovers change depending on load and stuff. Not exactly sure though.

Honda motors are made to hit redline fairly often, reliably. dont worry about it too much, i hit 8k at least a few times a day, and havent had any problems. dont worry, they would have made the redline lower if 8k would hurt it.
