I am thinking of buying a 1991 Honda Civic hatch Si. The body is in really good shape and so is the interior. It has
95 civic swap, 00 Si injectors, ls ecu, modded chip, cai, coilovers,tach, but no a/c nor p/s. To me the car runs really good and hes asking 1900, but im sure he would take 1500. I really like the body style of these civics. Is 1500-1900 worth it??? For the age of this car, the condition is really good, i was suprised.

 

Check if it has a d16z6 if it does I guess its worth it. If it doesnt then dont get it. I wouldnt get it either way because I like starting with a stock car

get it for $1500, if its a lemon you could pretty much part it out on Ebay for what you paid, lol.

 

Look....everyone has there own personal fav year, its not my fav but if its what you like then go for it.
$1,500 is dirt cheap, just make sure your not getting a lemon.

 

i dont think its a lemon, even though i didnt test drive it, i started it and it ran really strong. No weird noises, ran like a stock 95 civic.. But what should i check for when i go back to him and drive it? to make sure its not a lemon. I have owned a few other civics but not older than a 97. So yea, what should i look out for?

 

bad wiring. rust. timing belt (probably not applicable since the car had a motor swap)

 

i think the timing belt is good, it just has no cover on it. Also im pretty sure there is no rust.As for wiring, im not to good with wires. So i wont really know how to check them...
