I was already planning on replacing WP, TB and tensioners, Valve cover gasket and seals, and Oil pan gasket when I got the engine out of the rustbucket. Working at an autoparts store has its advantages.

the older models had torsion bars? thats unfortunate, i had a 4WD truck with torsion bars and they aren't the most desirable spring setup.

also, if your gonna have the engine out, i would do the headgaskets as well, just to be safe.

well i wouldnt do the headgasket unless it was needed..... thats ALOT more work to do for something that might not be needed.... its not something that fails that often and it wont destroy the motor if it does fail.... it will only hurt the motor if the driver is stupid enough to drive on it.....LOL

Not torsion bars, timing belt tensioner. And I don't think I will be replacing a head gasket, like addict said, to much work for something that is not prone to failure.
