Default Civic performance stats

Hey all,

I'm interested in buying a VTi-S 1.8 Civic on around a 2000 plate (I haven't swotted up on the mk's so all I can say is that its the saloon 4/5 door type lol).

However I've noticed on Parkers that the 1.8's 0-60 time is 8 secs whereas the 1.6's time is 7.9 secs. I know the difference is minimal but it just seemed a bit odd. Is it a weight thing or have Parkers got it wrong? Also the 1.6 VTi gets faster again at 7.7 secs [&:]

The BHP and top speeds all seem logical but the accelleration times are a bit iffy. Could someone point me in the right direction please!

Cheers [8D]

Ps. link to Parkers if ya need it is http://www.parkers.co.uk/choosing/sp...=&model_id=295
