Cluster
Okay, I have a question about a new cluster, I have a DX, but want a cluster from a LX/EX to get the tach. I was wondering if I bought one on ebay or something like that could I change the mileage to match it to the actual mileage on my original cluster?

There is a way you can swap odometers (put your current one in the new cluster) to make the mileage accurate or some places on ebay you tell them the mileage of your car when you buy the cluster and they open the odometer and crank it back/forward to the correct mileage. I'm not sure if cranking the odometer by hand could have any adverse side effects, but I know they can do it cuz I saw it when i was researching tach options. I also have a DX, but i decided it was just as easy to install an aftermarket one i picked up from a friend for like $20

most tachs have afew wires coming off them. cut a wire for 6cylinder, cut 2 wires for 4 cylinder. or for 8cylinder leave all 2 wires alone
but i would recomend a stock tach. keep the interior clean and rice free...
for the speedo you simply pop a few plastic clips over pull the front clear and black bezels that go around all 3 gauges and then from the backside remove the 4 philips screws and simply swap the speedometer section out.... DO NOT REMOVE THE front 2 screws on the gauge itself on the face! they simply swap over. extremly easy and keep your milage true. but i would suggest taking a picture of the two speedometers side by side before doing the swap and keep it with your records for the car. just to be safe!

the brand is glowshift or something, its not autometer/autoguage but it gets the job done. my tach is all black and is a 3.5" one instead of the giant 5" ones (even for drag racing that's a little excessive) and i dont think its rice, you can look in my photo album and decide for yourself. if you want the stock look then a EX/LX/Si cluster is a good way to go. either way, both are relatively easy installs, but if you're afraid of messin up your speedometer or something (you gotta be real careful workin on it) then aftermarket may be easier.
edit: oh and about the number of cylinders thing, mine just has a switch on the back for 3,4,5,6,8. other ones involve just clipping a wire or two and wrapping the loose ends with electrical tape
