Default Clutch fluid -- to change or not to change

My car is going in for service shortly and I'm having them change brake fluid, etc. Well, my clutch fluid is 5 years old and looks a bit contaminated. Should I have them flush it out, or is this not worth it?

Thanks

For the brake fluid, get a friend and do it yourself, its not that hard(unless you don't have a garage or have a cold garage like me). I guess you could do the clutch, but i have never worked with a manual trans clutch.

if your car is going for service at a dealer, then they have a machine they use to flush out your entire brake system. it works very well, compared to a drain and fill in your driveway. the same machine would be able to do the hydraulic clutch fluid ecause it is the same as the brake bluid (well pretty much the same they are both hydraulic).

Couldn't you just bleed the brakes until the fluid is the same color as it comes out? Its prolly cheaper than paying the dealer to use thier fancy machine to do it.

yeah, but if you arent a DIYer, then bleeding hydraulic fluid is a bad place to start learning. if its going in for a bunch of service, just have it done.

they just use a thing that sucks it out.. doesnt make a diffrence if you use that or use the old school pumping way.
